Our “George” aka George’54 is a 1954 Bristol Lodekka Double Decker Bus. A stunning structure made of Aluminum and wood. Originally built in Bristol England by the Bristol Tramways Company. George was one of the first buses to be sold to a private entity in England. Having spent time in the Midlands shuffling people back and forth, George’54 enjoyed his journey across the pond in 1974. His first stomping grounds were in Milwaukee at the London Mall shopping center. After a little surgery and a transplant – George’54 received a new American Detroit engine. In the 80’s he spent some time doing a little sightseeing across the Midwest. George’54 ended up in the hands of a fellow ex pat…Steffan in 2013, and this is where our story begins.

Bloody beautiful machine! I’ve never met anyone who doesn’t love these British buses. Thank you for keeping her alive for folks to enjoy… Cheers Peter
